Neneru Ninelives

"Why change the past when you can own this day?"

Stories Told Along the Way

A lalafellin woman performs in the plaza for a crowd of children. Swirling streaks of colored paints come to life, creating creatures and tableaus to accent her dance and her story telling. Some know her for these shows. Others for her work collecting folk lore and myths.None know the crimes she committed as a teenager under the moniker Sister Grimalkin. Burglaries, inciting riots, possibly a handful of murders. All to bring the common folk of Ul'dah a better future. The Brass Blades assumed her band of urchins dead to the last, but she survived. What will she do with that second chance?

Tales of Loss and Fire and Faith

Once upon a time a young woman left the Arrzaneth Ossuary, a storm of rumors swirling around her sudden dereliction. The disappearance of her sister drove her, seeking answers. At the root, she blamed the corrupt elite of Ul'dah. She sought the power to find or avenge her lost kin and quickly fell in with the revolutionary underground of the city. By day she was Neneru Neru, apprentice of the mage F'reya Fahl. By night she was Sister Grimalkin, political agitant and self professed weapon of the revolution. When a bad job spelled catastrophe, her mentor discovered her secret and pulled her out of the city before the Law could find her. As one final gift to set her on the right track Fahl sent her to Sharlayan and the Studium. At the Studium Neneru learned folklore and Pictomancy. She discovered new passions. Slowly Neneru began to find out who she was without her need for vengeance. In time she graduated as a folklorist and returned to Eorzea. She found work with the Valtin Institute and with them the beginnings of a new family. She not only studied folklore but started to use the tales she gathered as a storyteller, to entertain others. But just as things were truly beginning to change for her, she received a letter. Her sister was alive and needed rescue. She recovered her sister but rediscovered her hatred for the systems of power in her beloved city. For now Neneru is a humble folklorist and storyteller. She has her sister again. She's found love. She has family. But for how long can she resist the call to force change in Ul'dah?
