"Why change the past when you can own this day?"

Stories Told Along the Way

A lalafellin woman performs in the plaza for a crowd of children. Swirling streaks of colored paints come to life, creating creatures and tableaus to accent her dance and her story telling. Some know her for these shows. Others for her work collecting folk lore and myths.None know the crimes she committed as a teenager under the moniker Sister Grimalkin. Burglaries, inciting riots, possibly a handful of murders. All to bring the common folk of Ul'dah a better future. The Brass Blades assumed her band of urchins dead to the last, but she survived. What will she do with that second chance?

For Want of a Future

Once upon a time there was a rumor in certain circles of a young lady who left the Arrzaneth Ossuary, cutting short a promising career as a thaumaturge. Quickly she earned a reputation for her loud opposition to the Syndicate, until she suddenly vanished during the rise of the Defiant. Among the shady mages of Ul'Dah this raised no suspicion. Many left to join their ranks, drawn to the prospect of changing the world for the better. Many died when the Warrior of Light smothered their fire. She survived, still carrying the torch of her desire to change Ul'Dahn society and was quickly caught up in the underground world of political agitants. When her own hubris and zeal got others killed, she left. For want of something to do with her hands she returned to something she knew well: Learning and writing down peoples' stories. A friend and a mentor encouraged and sponsored her to enroll in the Studium where she studied folklore and further refined her magic. Now she's returned from Sharlayan to complete her thesis.
